The HIX AWARD has opened in the Cock ‘n’ Bull Gallery. A brilliant show offering opportunity to students and graduates of the past two years to showcase their work and present it to a wider audience.

16 candidates have made it into the exhibition which is running from the 31st July to the 31st August.

The finalists are Susannah Horowitz, Thomas Hjelm, India Dewar, Tony Vowden, Marianne Morild, Ashton Hawes, Theo Passingham, Michael Jenkins,Joseph Sweeney, Karina Vettorel, Nicholas Permain, Emily Scott, Oly Durcan, Mia-Jane Harris, Waseem Akbar and Xander Hart.

There is huge variety in the exhibition, an impressive selection of paintings, sculpture even taxidermy.

The judges, Mark Hix, Edward Lucie-Smith, Charlie Phillips, Niru Ratnan and Miranda Donovan have a difficult task on their hands to choose a winner which will not be announced until the 28th August.
